My name is Diamond, because I'm a diamond in the rough, just ready to shine. Please excuse my scars, I am not proud of what I did, but I had to do it to save my baby. You see my careless owners let my pup and I walk around with out a leash or runner to keep us safe and in the yard. But as dogs we followed our noses to find better things to do, since we had no restrictions to keep us in the yard. As we were walking a dog joined us but it is unsure who initiated the fight. Being the very good momma that I was I did what I had to, to protect my little girl. I fought the dog off and saved my own life and the life of my pup. The dog lived, but will no longer be so eager to go after a puppy when it's mother is willing to protect it with her own life. I had horrible lacerations to my face and deep puncture wounds. At times it got hard to see out of the streams of blood that poured into my eyes, but she was now safe. I had many weeks of healing time, my pup on the other had minor scratches and was filthy, which was was an easy fix. The nice people at the shelter cleaned us both up and made us realize that not every person is as careless as our past owners. My little girl was named Jewel because her personality shined brighter than any jewel known to man. She has been sent to a rescue that can give her a better chance at life. They can take her places she has only dreamt of, and I am glad for that. I do miss her and wish I cold have gone with her and witness the day that she gets adopted. But I am a bit more fearful than her and had to stay here. I don't mind it here, the people are nice they take me for walks and give me nice warm baths that make me smell like lavender. They also give me wonderful hugs for when I miss Jewel. I am 6.5 years old, but don't let that deter you from me. I have plenty of years to make you happy. I am a blue nosed pit, and don't let that make you think I'm a bad dog either. If I was a lab who attacked a dog for going after my puppy I would have already found a home, but because I am a bully breed that makes people prejudice about my breed. I have a standard adoption fee of $100 which includes my spay. Starting Monday 12/8/13 We have a FREE adoption fee on all bully breeds, we do require an approved application, prior dog owner experience, and a home check.
